Calthorpe Street

Reunification of listed dwellinghouse, refurbishment, and extension.


The project secured full planning permission and listed building consent for the reunification of two maisonettes in a Grade II listed Georgian terrace on Calthorpe Street, along with a number of internal alterations and enclosure of the area under the entry steps, and damp-proofing of the two vaults.

The floor plan has been rationalised at ground and second floor, removing modern partitions and reinstating the original plan form. The vaults are to be waterproofed using a Type A+C ‘membrane’ system.

Permission secured in 2024 with just a six week determination time.
