Calthorpe Street

Reunification of listed dwellinghouse, refurbishment, and extension.


The project secured full planning permission and listed building consent for the reunification of two maisonettes in a Grade II listed Georgian terrace on Calthorpe Street, along with a number of internal alterations and enclosure of the area under the entry steps, and damp-proofing of the two vaults for conversion into a habitable space.

The floor plan has been rationalised at ground and second floor, removing modern partitions and reinstating the original plan form. The vaults are to be waterproofed using a Type A+C ‘membrane’ system.

Permission secured in 2024 with just a six week determination time. Construction completed 2025.
